Lulzlunch.com had a bit of downtime earlier due to a temporary disk failure. I'm not sure if this is a sign that one of the disks is about to completely fail. I'm really wishing I had a real hardware raid card in it to protect it from single disk failures. Software raid is fast but won't save you if /boot is on the failing partition.

I've added a new feature to LulzLunch.Com that should let it link to threads. Since most of the images are without threads it make take some time before they most images have a thread. I am not sure yet whether or not it is working right. I don't feel like fully testing it now.

The server hosting GpMidi.Net and various other domains is back at my house. It is now, as far as I can tell, correctly hosting all of my sites. If you are still having any problems let me know asap. LulzLunch.com should be a lot faster since it is now hosted off a 15mbps link. This is 10 times faster than the 1.5mbps that it was hosted off of. I plan on moving it to a new web server and database some time this week or weekend. Odds are that I'll make some improvements to the lulzlunch backend code while doing the move.

www.lulzlunch.com will soon get a LOT more disk space. Currently I can only dedicate a few gigs to it. By Sunday it should have almost 1TB of space. Plus it will have 15Mbps upload! I'm not sure how long it will take me to get it up after the move. It will probably depend on the DB.

All sites hosted on this server will be down for maintenance tomorrow or this weekend. I'll be moving the server from my long time coloc, megapipe, to my house. This move will have a few advantages. The first, major one being I have the server local to me. The second is that I'll be able to bring up a second machine that I have to act as a backup. I'll likely use it as a web server and the other machine as a database, primary mail, primary dns, and whatever else. This will offer better redundancy since I can fully take a server down without any problems.

I now have ads out promoting www.lulzlunch.com. I only did this because Google offered me $50 in free ads. So far I've spent $0.60 out of $50 for 7 clicks. Good stuff.

For the first time ever one of my sites had ads on it. As of a few min ago www.lulzlunch.com has ads. I'm really wondering if Google will get upset about it. They might not be happy since most of my users:
1) Don't click ads
2) Ignore all ads
3) Sit around hitting F5 all day
4) Some of the chans are practically all porn.

I've added a feature to lulzlunch.com that lets it keep pictures from being deleted. There is also a new form on the randomhtml page that will let you email pictures to others.

It's hard working on lulzlunch.com. I have to check it to see if my changes are working right. This gets to be a real problem since it is also very addictive. :-/

I've made a few minor imporovments to http://www.lulzlunch.com.
1) Added a hit count field to the board status page.
2) Included the auto-refreshing html page in the info page.
3) Added database and code changes so I keep a record of all images and their hashes. This is a prelude to adding hash-based blocking. I'm sure that someone will object to an image before too long :-/
